What is 935 silver?

When you buy an amemori piece, you're not buying standard sterling silver. You're buying something better.

The difference

Most silver jewelry is made from 925 sterling silver — which means 92.5% pure silver alloyed with other metals, usually copper. It's the industry standard, and it's fine. But we work with 935 silver: 93.5% pure silver, one percent higher. That 1% makes a real difference.

Why it matters

Brighter finish

Higher silver content means a more brilliant, mirror-like surface straight out of the studio.

More tarnish resistant

The refined alloy composition slows oxidation, so your piece stays beautiful longer with less maintenance.

Denser & longer lasting

Slightly harder than standard sterling, which means it holds its shape and detail over years of daily wear.

Locally sourced in Mexico

Our 935 silver is sourced locally in Mexico, keeping our supply chain close and our footprint small. We believe the materials should be as intentional as the making.

What about the stamp?

Our pieces are stamped 925 — the internationally recognized hallmark for silver jewelry. The underlying metal we work with is 935, which exceeds that standard. Think of the stamp as a floor, not a ceiling.

Natural gemstones

Every stone in an amemori piece is hand-selected from our trusted supplier in Mexico. We choose for color, texture, and character — which means no two pieces are exactly alike, and that's exactly the point.
